My issue isn't that it just gets longer, its that it BARELY gets longer. They should have gone all in on the absurdity and made one with 10 segments. As is, it barely even leaves an impression. We waited over 2 decades and this is the best they could come up with?

Honestly, I think maybe have the pattern continue uninterrupted and have one pair of wings bigger then the other and you'd still get the point across that it's still Dunsparce but slightly longer without too many drastic changes.

This is unironically good design philosophy though, if something looks "too cool" you're more likely to dismiss it as a tryhard design. Pokemons should look a little goofy.
