The most direct influence is its mushroom-like features, evolving from Shroomish. On top of its head are berries, although it also gives the imagery of a frog-like eyes. Its body suggests that of a kangaroo, or some type of ambiguous lizard like many Pokemon before it, also looking at its tail or claws respectively. Similarly, it has a nondescript beak/ maw that doesn't really point towards one thing in particular. On its tail, it has orbs that could make you think of simply drawn trees, continue its hat's berry motif, or look like an ankylosaur's wrecking tail. Finally, the hat itself is reminiscent of ancient warriors, one of many design cues to indicate its Fighting-type.
