I was playing normally and fast forwarded through the battles. But the difficulty curve is waaay too steep. Enemies going from level 20 to 30 something after mt moon was enough for me to drop that shit, I know old RPGs are grindy but fuck. This is especially bad since you have to do it to everyone in your team just to stand a chance against other trainers.

Literally how? Only in Yellow there's a sudden raise in the levels from Erika to Sabrina. You shouldn't have any problems in Red unless you're skipping trainers or constantly changing mons.
