Do you think this could possibly be a turning point for the franchise where they possibly restructure the dev teams and get more people on board?
SwSh was poorly recieved by fans because of dexit but due to good Pokemon designs and the generally decent quality of the game it succeeded regardless.
SV on the other hand is being mocked by fans and non fans alike, and the poor reception to the game and new Pokemon will severely effect merch sales, which is already being reported as vendors are having trouble selling stocks of the new starters.
As Pokemon as a franchise puts profit above quality, to an extreme only rivaled by EA, they're not going to overlook this drop in revenue. Hiring more people to work on the games is a relatively small cost compared to ensuring consistancy of finantial growth each gen. Maybe things truely do get worse before they get better.
