Everything that it tries to do is such a horrible mess. The starters are trash. The soundtrack is trash. The Kanto pandering is worse than in any of the other gens. Galar as a region barely has an identity of its own because of how much it dickrides Kanto. Nothing in swsh makes up for the dexcut, since the games look, play and are animated like ass. The gen 8 remake of Sinnoh is easily the worst remake out here since it barely does anything to innovate the DP experience (idc how much people whine about ORAS, at least it was different enough compared to RS. there's no reason to play BDSP over DP on an emulator with speed mode on). The competitive scene was cancer because of how stall worked.
This gen is all around just shit. It's honestly just embarrassing for the series that the swsh games sold as much as they did.
