Haven't beaten it yet? How are they villains? The first two you fight are just looking to recruit. Then you INVADE them unprompted cause some nerd told you to. And when you best each one they act civilized and you learn that they are all good friends. What crime have them committed? Who are they wronging?
They are certainly better than Team Yell who are even really a team, but Star duesht seem like villains, just a recreational club.

They literally did nothing wrong, they were a bunch of bullied kids who came together and put on a show of force to scare off the bullies.
Penny wants to disband them because now people think that Team Star are the bad guys who did the equivalent of a pokemon school shooting and the bosses aren't returning to school, so she doesn't want them to get expelled.

Team Skull were villains, but sympathetic and really just working for the actual antagonist (at least in SM)
Team Yell weren't really villains, just glorified Gym Trainers who were going around being annoying
Team Star are openly sympathetic and the storyline is really about saving them from themselves

Can't we just have the marketed team be the main villains again? Even if just so the red herrings are actual effective again? It's even worse with Yell and Star because you never actually see them do anything criminal. At least Skull was convincing until later in the story.
