Not a big deal, just pretend you're battling your head.
Battles were filler to pad out the game anyway, you just pressed A and won with no effort. You can still physicall press A and still win with no effort, I don't see the issue.

A button for going through text, instead the text goes on by itself, it will stay on screen for 2 minutes before moving to the next text box this is so kids can soak in the important info being told to them.

Custom nicknames.
It's too easy for a player to give their Pokemon a lewd or disturbing nickname. So from Gen 10 on, players will only be allowed to choose from a list of pre-approved nicknames.
For example, if you have a Shinx, you will only be allowed to name them Sparky, Mittens, or Fred.
Of course, the same will be true for player names. You will only be allowed to name your character Purple, Jimbo, or Fred.
In exchange, the game is now fully voiced, so shills will defend all of these decisions.
The dub can't be replaced with the Japanese original or muted.

Gen 8 gave us the option to hide nicknames. Next gen, they'll remove that and nicknames entirely. I doubt they'll bring back the easy chat system just to "name" your Pokémon and trainer.

Gen11 will be a VN/MMO. Single player will be cutscenes accessed from a menu and multiplayer will be boss-only dungeon queuing.
