Why the fuck does EVERY TRAINER HAVE ONLY ONE POKÉMON. I’m literally near the end of the game running into Pokémon in their 50s and trainers still only have one Pokémon. I’m not deluded enough to think Pokémon was ever or needs to be hard. But your game mechanics are fundamentally built around six Pokémon teams. You literally show the empty spaces in the teams. I genuinely can’t begin to comprehend why Gamefreak gives every trainer a single Pokémon yet still based the entire games around battling. Why is battling even in the games anymore at this point
