Or Eternatus?
Or Necrozma (meteor from ultraspace, but it still passed through normal space which is why it's debris is everywhere for people to make z rings out of?
Honestly every single mega timeline game has had something to do with a meteor that contains a super ancient Pokemon's power.
In Kalos a meteor got shot by the laser, and evolution stones it contained made mega stones.
In Hoenn, a meteor crashed and made sootopolis crater and awoke Groudon and Kyogre who fought over the energy to primally revert, AND bits of the Kalos meteor that continued orbit grew Deoxys, and are likely what awakens Jirachi, given it's related to meteor showers and has the same 1000 year cycle.
Eternatus fell from the same millennial meteor shower like 10K years ago, and when the laser hit 3000 years ago, awoke, did the darkest day, and then the remains of it's Eternamax Form came crashing down into galar in the form of wishing stars and power spots.
>>52275787Fuck I hate Bulbapedia's staff. Like half of all the damn translations either miss the reference or are flat out lies because somebody couldn't be assed to not copy paste the English instead of give a literal translation.
>>52274110What this means is that all of them are the contents of a pseudoscience rags, and it's just in one version it's being given credence by an incompetent scientist because he's seeing the same claims in an expedition journal.
Except both can spawn in while Union Circled. Not link cable alternate universe shit, there in your normal world.
Which means canonically both categories are actually running around, and the magazines, though crackpot, are right that these cryptids are at least running around, if not about their biology and origins.
