I'm still burned by Swish's Camp bullshit that with any interaction(s) in it gave my mons an ass load of extra crits, dodges, & cures making matches 10× easier which is bullshit as I want to be on equal footing during runs.

Avoiding certain levels of Amie/Refresh was alright because you could still use the function without nerfing your opponents but from what I remember Camp upped it up by a lot so it wasn't something I could do with my main team.

And no, my current run (most teammates from early routes) is in their mid 50s with zero instances of affectionate triggers thank fuck.

I only used picnics a handful of times and I only had like 3 instances of free crits and saved by 1hp combined. You don't need to do it a lot to get the hang of it. Plus it made getting a Frigibax super easy after I flew around for an hour with no luck, I forgot I could make a sandwich and when I did I had a whole swarm of them show up.
