This was my favorite part, no transfers yet so people just casually played against each other with their shitty in game teams, trying out all the new megas, it was honestly so much fun

I'm definitely a SVfag but first of all lol at "sometimes" and second of all:

Kalos fans need to stop using this cope, there were 3 years from XY to SM. New gens are always 3 or 4 years depending on if there's a break, and there was already a gap year in gen 6.

It got the same amount of dev time as basically every other new gen pair, calling it rushed doesn't make sense unless you think the entire series has been rushed.

It had triple battles, rotation battles, Battle maison was fun, Pokemon amie was alright, and less jankier than future entries, the online was fun, all it needed was a third version.

Anon have you even heard the backstory of this game's development? the entire franchise was always an incompetant laggy mess of programming with the saving grace being maybe one or two senior members and the designs themselves

I gotta admit I've got a real soft spot for these games, they're not the greatest since they're piss baby easy to beat but I do love the mons introduced in it + megas. These were also my first mainline entry for the games as I never had a handheld until this point, my first game was Gale of Darkness on the GC.

without question the best games in terms of the "first half." The shear amount of pokemon in the beginning of the game, and the pacing up to getting your mega bracelet was perfect. After that it just kinda plateaued and felt meh for me

Megas were great, customization was great, exploration was great, and adding the Fairy type was great BUT the rivals were shit, the gyms were shit, the E4 was shit, and Team Flare was absolute shit
