As much as I like Scarlet, why in GOD's name did they remove so much good shit from Arceus/ previous entries?

unlike with SwShit, Game Freak at least used the limited roster to give the surviving Pokemon high quality animations and make them feel more live and expressive but overall there's a long way to go

Well, for starters, GameFreak not adding all Pokemon in via DLC. With an extra year to develop DLC, there is no excuse to not add everyone who did not make the cut. Sword and Shield got very close, but having not completed the dex was an incredibly frustrating fuckup. No excuse not to.

This game looks good because is just a battle simulator. There's no world to explore, nothing to interact with but pokemon moves.
The battle stages are just small controlled areas.
I'm not excusing SV, IT IS ugly, but people should stop thinking that BR broke the limits or something.
Any game that just focuses on really small areas (like fighting games) can pour more on graphics.

It's perfectly reasonable to expect a mainline game to have the manpower to get the battling portion to be on par with a game from what, 15+ years ago while also delivering on the rest.
Mind, BR is just the next step to Colosseum and XD, and they did have a world to explore.
