The music was also dogshit. It was just the same shitty little short tune constantly repeating. Had to mute the fight cause it got annoying very fast

It feels like a closed beta that went live as soon as it was stable enough to avoid totally shitting itself. The fact that the game knows to respawn you during infinite falling bugs means that was an issue common enough during development that they built a safeguard to keep the player from getting stuck or game from crashing. So they knew about the issues, just chose to do a cheap workaround instead of fix them because "it's pokemon; the brand sells itself"

I loved how the E4 members all stayed behind to watch your next battles from the sidelines.
A minor addition but it added a lot of soul. Talking to them after each battle and seeing how they interact with one another.
