Yeah, and same with pokemon eating other even tho they all breed together
I much better liked the old idea of regular animals existing as inferior creatures meant to be food for humans and pokemon

At least eating living creatures is something that animals do in nature anyways. I think skinning Pokemon alive and using their flesh to make fashion items would be worse.

Pokemon are basically just animals in the game canon.
Eating an Alakazam or Slowking would be pretty fucked up, but some Pidgey tendies are fine.
