After playing Violet and seeing that the male professor had been changed to part machine, or replaced by a machine look alike, I honestly thought for a moment that Scarlet's professor had something similar happen, with her body being changed more organically, and she would end up looking partly like a beast in some way when you meet her.

I think the other parent will appear in the DLC, it looks like they'd try to develop arven's plot further seeing as the book in station 3 mentions 'my partner left' and with the story revolving around third legendary it looks like we might be in for that. Also this is the first game the third legendary hasn't appeared on the base game huh.

They don't change their bodies, they create a robot duplicate of themselves to help with their research tasks. The robot is built with a CPU constructed with Tera Crystals, allowing for the construction of an extremely powerful AI that contains all of the professor's memories and can emulate their behavior. The real professor gets mauled protecting what later becomes your Koraidon/Miraidon from the Alpha.

The professor created a safe lock to ensure that their Time Machine would continue to work, bringing in whatever paradox Pokemon come with it, which would potentially destroy the region if they got out of area zero. And despite creating an AI to continue and protect their legacy, they put a safe lock on top of that as well to ensure that the AI could never possibly go rogue.

Also, they are dead beats who walked out on their families

Sada/Turo are both psychopaths and villains. Best Pokémon villains since Ghetsis.
