Why should content be locked behind the credit. That is bad game design. By then, a lot of people have either put the game down, or have started a new save. Battle subway was available in the main story in BW 1&2 and it didn’t have any major issues. Even a lot of the legendary catching was in the main story in older and newer games. Although catching them should be reworked.

Good postgame to me is new places to explore, not a battle tower. I'm sorry pokemon-only fans, but just like a lot of other thing in this series battle tower as post game is only good within the standards of these clown games. B2W2, HGSS and to a lesser extend Platinum had the only good post games in the series.
