>>52310101Battling is part of catching, but catching is also collecting and exploring and seeking. I find joy in finding that pokemon I've been searching for. Maybe 30 minutes ago I swam all around paldea because I needed some alomomola mucus for a body slam TM (and to add it to my dex).
While searching for it, I found a few TMs, caught a few terra pokemon, and found some PP ups and some pearl string treasures as well as caught some other pokemon I needed for my dex like dragalge and copperajah.
What made it different from other games was me making a really shitty sandwich where I lost some avocados and the top bun fell off and I got ICE encounter power so I came across a ton of cloyster and avalugg + bergmite just floating in the water like icebergs, its something I knew but never thought about. Breeding and battling will come later, for now, I'll appreciate looking for and finding stuff.
