Yep, and the only way to fix it is to save and reboot the game.
Literally the turn it off and on again approach.

Luckily I played it during the leaks thinking the update would fix it. But it happened to me on my cart two days ago. I thought I'd save and reboot before the fight again and it played normally. Champion music has the same problem.

I also ran into the glitch, but just thought the music was shit when it happened for all four fights. In my group of friends, out of 5 people who have finished the Elite Four, only 1 of us had an unmarred experience. One friend got the glitch and had to restart the game twice in order to fix it.
