So, I've seen the theory floating around that the time machine is actually an imagination machine. I don't see how that makes any sense, is there any good evidence to back it up?

The most solid "proof" was some lines about how conveniently the professor got things to work when they shouldn't have been possible or just highly unlikely. All of the shit about the paradox pokemon names is just based off similarity to tabloid articles like how the Galarian Birds are named after Moltres, Articuno and Zapdos because they look similar to them and aren't actually the same species.

before the games released someone mistranslated the words for "mythical pokémon" in a chinese leak to "fantasy pokémon". this put the idea that they're all fictional into people's heads, which was only solidified by the "artistic rendition" of suicune you can find in the school. then people saw the lines that stated building the time machine would never have been possible without the crystals and immediately assumed the crystals are magical. the robot straight up stated he and the professor worked on building the machine for a long time so personally it doesn't seem like magic to me.

Thanks! I assumed the Pokemon in the articles ARE the paradox mons. It does mention some were able to get through the barrier of Area Zero. I actually didn't know that about the Galarian birds, never played the DLC.
