>>52326254Here's my take on the whole thing, Gamefreak is doing Gamefreak things and hinting at multiple things on their agenda including some that may not come for several years, in order to fake us out and create plausible deniability about what their next move is while still leaving the real answer in front of us. While dropping the cookie crumbs on basically everything else currently in the pipeline.
They were Kantobaiting for a whole gen before LGPE happened. Back in Gen 7 with Type Null and the RKS system, people were convinced that DP remakes were right around the corner and they did come, but they didn't come for another 4 years. SM was hinted at in XY.
Right now the little flags for Gens 2 and 5 are off the charts but most of the "evidence" I see, I think can easily be chalked up as red herrings for now, but are more like indicators of what's on their minds for a revisit. Like it may not have even occurred to them the pure quantity of little easter eggs because they don't see them as easter eggs, they just have Johto and Unova on their minds.
Kalos itself doesn't have a whole lot of flags in SV to me, but there's certainly far more than we've seen since the half assed belated Zygarde stuff in Gen 7.
Kalos DLC more than likely isn't happening but it's probably far less unrealistic this Gen than it has been for the last few. And at this point I think the odds are 50/50 that in the next 3 years we will see either a Johto revisit or a Unova revisit, and 50/50 that we'll see both of those in the next 5 years.
>>52326463I really don't think they would do that specifically, it would probably continue with just an additional stretch of mountains in that area until you reach Ambrette. Southern Kalos is a huge meme and would probably at most just get supplemented by a couple of towns and a few extra areas similar to northeastern Paldea.
