So at the end these busted robo-profs decide to travel to the past/future to live out their dream by using the "time machine" used to spawn paradoxmons which may or may not just be solid thought-forms made from illustrations in old Paldean scifi magazines and journals.

So if this time machine isn't for real then where the heck is it going to send them? To a made up past/future formed from their desires or is it just going to blow them up? Or does the damn thing actually work?
