The two closest gyms are in Sherry town or Whiskey city. Sherry town is closer but you have to go through the Fein Forest, While Whiskey city is further but is a less dangerous. Which gym should April go for first

Which the hiker quickly obliges >The hiker sends out his rock type pokemon rockruff. >April realizing she has a type advantage tells Mudkip to use water gun, However the rockruff manages to dodge and the hiker tells his rockruff to use rock throw >Mudkip manages to avoid the rock throw and April understanding that the rockruff is too mobile to hit orders mudkip to close in on rockruff. >The hiker all too aware of this tells rockruff to prevent Mudkips assault with rock tomb, However mudkip manages to avoid the attack. >Then April tells mudkip to use mud bomb to lower the chances of a counter attack which is successful. >April decides to finish the battle as she tells her mudkip to use water gun, Which connects knocking out the rockruff. >The hiker noticably impressed decides to give April a present, A fossil of an ancient pokemon. >After this encounter April has two options. >>52354359 >April marches on towards route 2 >In her travels she finds a young child who is looking for his mother >He asks April to help him find his mother >According to the boys report some man in a goofy looking costume captured her >April asks if his mother was someone important. >the boy said that she was an aide to professor tumbleweed. >April asks if there is any locations in the local area which can be used to hide. >The boy pointed towards a cave. >April cautiously entered the cave and overhears the conversation >Apparently the previous man she had defeated was also here and he was talking to someone else. >They were talking about the man's recent failures. >Apparently the man's name was Duke while the person he was talking with was called Harry. >However Harry noticed that April was eavesdropping and called her out by threatening to hurt the professor's aide. >Left with no choice April sends out Mudkip to aggressively wrestle the boy's mother out of their hands. >Duke sent out his Scraggy, While harry sent out a Drowzee. >April commanded mudkip use mud bomb to momentarily blind both Drowzee and Scraggy however Harry told Drowzee to hold the mud in place with confusion. >Duke looking to avenge his previous defeat tells his scraggy to use heatbutt. Knocking mudkip back. >While the fighting was going on April manages to sneak by the two men and release the Aide. >Mudkip continued to get overwhelmed as Harry told his Drowzee to hit mudkip with thunder punch which heavily damaged mudkip. >As scraggy prepared to knock out mudkip with assurance the Aide's small machine was beginning to activate. >The aide asks if April had a fossil on her, Which April reveals to the Aide. In desperation The aide revives the fossil. >The revived pokemon is shieldon. >April opened up her pokedex and scanned Shieldon. >It's attacks are Rock tomb, Iron head, Ice beam and Metal sound. 1/2

>>52354928 >April tells shieldon to use Iron head >However the Shieldon completely ignores April's commands. >April then attempts to bribe the shieldon with some berries however shieldon responded by spitting in her face. >Having enough of the shieldon's attitude April slaps the shieldon in the face. >The Shieldon is unaffected by Aprils slap >Duke tells his scraggy to pounce on the shieldon while it is distracted. >However at just that moment Shieldon uses metal sound and completely deafens the scraggy which attempted to attack it, Though it was really aimed at April. >Mudkip taking it's own initiative while drowzee was distracted with what was happening slams it with a tackle which pushes the drowzee back. >The drowzee in a fit of anger fires off a psybeam, However Mudkip counters with mirror coat which knocks the drowzee out. >Meanwhile Shieldon turned scraggy into an ice sculpture with ice beam. >After April forces shieldon into the pokeball they leave the cave. >The boy jumps towards his mother happily, Meanwhile the aide tells April to look after the shieldon and that she has high hopes as a trainer. >April can either look around for a pokemon in route two, Return to the cave and scavenge for some rare items, Discipline shieldon or continue towards Whiskey city. However it stumbles across a graveyard >Shieldon finds a small shrub with some berries on it and decides to feast. >However it begins to hear some crying. >Shieldon decides to follow the sound of the crying and stumbles upon a strange looking pokemon. >It turns around with frightening looking eyes and proceeds to lick Shieldon in the face. >Shieldon runs back to April as it is terrified of it's new torturer. >As April is awakened by a crying shieldon she looks up to she a terrifying looking face causing April to scream. >Mudkip undeterred uses water gun in an attempt to chase the pokemon away. >April opens up the pokedex and realizes that the pokemon is misdreavus. >The misdravus uses a powerful shadow ball and sends mudkip flying badly hurting it. >April decides to take advantage of the situation by telling shieldon that mudkip is fighting to protect it and that it should listen to her if it wants to be safe. >Shieldon finally acquiesces and uses iron head which manages to land against misdreavus. >Misdreavus attempts to use shadow ball however mudkip covers shieldon and uses mirror coat to reflect it's own attack back at it. >Finally April throws a pokeball and catches misdreavus. >April moves onwards to Whiskey city and heals her pokemon. There appears to be numerous options. Go to the gym, Go to the battle cafe or wander around the city. Let's hear.
