Adding onto this,
-some of the best songs in the series
-actual good writing and characters
-best gimmick form gameplay wise (I still think it looks stupid)
-best exploration, the gameplay loop of running around hoarding every item you find is very fun
-some of the fights are pretty challenging if you aren't overleveled

What exploration? It’s a needlessly big world with nothing in it but Psyducks and items strewn around randomly. It’s not fun to explore because there’s nothing to find, no secrets off the beaten path and hardly even any rare Pokemon spawns.

When open world game gives you menus instead of letting you actually enter open shops in open world it's objectively a shit game. And when there is 0 exploration in open world, no secrets, no puzzles, less postgame than X/Y, also easier than XY etc. You can have fun with it, but it's objectively a terrible game. Not everyone is a shill and some do enjoy this excrement of a game, but it is a terrible product by literally any standard. Not to even talk about optimization and junior level programming, literally nobody puts entire outside open world onto one variable. It's like coding sites with nothing but if/when statements, it's embarrassing.
