Can someone give me the rundown on what happens when you transfer mons?
Do they lose their movesets from the older games?

Yes and no. It'll say their moves don't exist if you try to use them in a game that doesn't have them, but they're not automatically deleted, I think.

Movesets get saved per game. Let's say you transfer a Pikachu from SwSh to Home. When you transfer it to SV, all its moves will be replaced with default ones. Once you transfer it back to Home and to SwSh, it will get its old moveset back.
If you then decide to transfer it to SV again, it will get its moveset back that it had before you transferred it from SV to Home.

That was just for SWSH and later changed their policy on that.
For anything after, it has a moveset specific of each game it can get to.

I see, thanks
Gonna have to wait till next year to transfer my mons since it’s not possible to add funds to the Eshop, and they did state bank would become free next year after the Eshop closes

Thanks! Was this a recent change after SwSh? I remember having mons in there that had unknown moves but it'd just not let me use them and they had a little ! symbol next to them. Do the moves just disappear now instead?
