It really is nice. I got my flying Pikachu set up to be a physical attacker pretty early on. gave it some boxing gloves and thunder punch. It's pretty cool.

area zero is harder to one-shot so its harder to keep track by just counting pp usage. vitamins are faster but can be expensive for when you first start going.

Psyducks by the lighthouse too are constantly spawning and are easy one shots. When you're killing 25 or 28 does it matter?

Sure, but golducks give 2 EVs instead of 1 and spawn like crazy in the north. If the poke is weak, I just use another mon to 1 shot the golducks which is already EV trained. EVs are shared across the party

poke 1 has no item and battles, poke 2 has no item, no battle, poke 3 is holding power item.
If its a 1 EV like Shinx, Poke 1 gets +1 attack, Poke 2 gets +1 attack, Poke 3 gets +9 attack.

If its a +2 like golduck, poke 1 gets +2, poke 2 gets +2, Poke 3 gets +10

The time it would take to dupe enough to max out 2 stats is probably about the same amount of time it would take to do it normally.

Maxing out 2 stats takes about 60 battles.
Duping 4 ability caps takes 4 with a little fiddling between.

The auction house that you have to go to for the water gym can have an auction for each of the EV reset berries. You get like 90 at a time so just keep resetting until you can get the ones you need.

thanks anon. i kinda figured thats how it worked but didnt want to waste ev reset berries to test it.
ev sharing being forced is a little annoying because i like to usenpower items to raise one stat at a fixed rate i can track with pp usage while killing wild mons that give an ev in something i want maxed out, so forced ev share makes it more complicated to do it for multiple mons. at least if power items arent shared i can kill things with an ev i want them all to have and dole out power items as needed.

though I'll probably just ev up a purzerker and start raidcatting for cash to just buy vitamins.

If i'm remembering right, bottlecaps aren't treated as the IV stat for stuff like breeding no.

They were capped, I think, because of the way EVs worked in gen 1. They were integrated into the stat calculation that was not totally independent from the leveling calculation

Someone hacked my platinum to give me 999 of all items and a 6 31 iv ditto lol. And I RNG abused to get IVs. Im glad in gen 9 breeding perfect mons is far less aitistic.

I think that lasted till gen 4 actually? But even then gamefreak kept the fact that box updated EVs anyway.
Suppose in the gen 1 context of them wanting it to be capped by leveling it makes some sense; but gen 1 wasn't even meant to have PvP for the longest time.
So its autistic balancing for level 100 mons for a single player game, that was kept despite being literally irrelevant even when the system was updated.

Go around till you find a x10 berry sparkling spot then set up your picnic to do the first video glitch there.
It's far better than resetting the auction house only to find like x30 on sale there. Surprised nobody had thought of combining both of them together yet
