Unrelated, I think something interesting about these scenes in Japanese is Sada refers to herself as "watashi" in katakana and Turo uses "boku". They're kind of foreshadowing hints that something is off about them that sadly couldn't be covered the same way in English.

He just said it can't be conveyed in the same way in English. Japan has three ways of writing characters. In this case they're using the wrong one, typically used for emphasis or English loanwords to refer to themselves. It shows that something is off about them to the player. This is entirely lacking from the English adaption of the game.

boku is typically a way for guys to refer to themselves, but it usually is dropped by the time you're an adult. Considering this man here has a child, he's well beyond the age of normally using that pronoun for himself.
The katakana version of watashi is just plain weird because if you are too young to not know the kanji for it (which would be very young), you usually opt for hiragana. Sada instead uses katakana which is readable, but it is once again very unusual for a woman of her age to be doing that.

And as another fun fact: The part where the AI is glitched out in the end and speaks with weird font is actually only using kanji and katakana with the furigana written in katakana

That's something that I was considering, although normally kids use hiragana instead of katakana for watashi but boku absolutely checks out on that idea. I'm figuring they really didn't have a better way to project Sada looking off than using katakana.

In English they refer to themselves in third person ("Professor Sada/Turo"). If you can't read that as uncanny then there's no hope for you in any language.

Katakana is mostly used for loan words like "camera" or "computer" if you want to say it with Japanese phonics. You don't use katakana to say a word that's in Japanese in Japanese. You only really need it for words that aren't Japanese.

Dawn and Lucas actually went back in time, the SV stuff isn't actually a time machine but the Zohar from Xenogears.
Which makes sense, given that XB3 has the exact same map design as SV and they shared a few staff members.

Because it would undo all the player characters events which is a bit of a dick move and honestly letting the professor live is probably the bad end since they would've went forward with their idea and irreversibly fucked the ecosystem of paldea.
They original professors didn't seem like reasonable people based on their actions and journal entries

Given the AI was literally locked in the building and need you to unlock the door, yes we can reasonably assume the alpha legendary ate Sada/Turo.

Judging by the various logs around, by that point literally everyone else on the project had already bolted so it was just Sada/Turo and the AI left.

Not every word has kanji (like particles) in Japanese but the idea is the similar. Basically, you never use katakana outside of foreign context. Hiragana is the default "I don't know the kanji" system.

Celebi got Giovanni subplot in HGSS, crystal had a bit with it in Japan, Oras gave deoxys some well needed love and jirachi is hinted with Archie and Shelly but you need to scour really hard for it, mythicals suffer a lot for being glorified movie promos

Darkrai, Shaymin and Manaphy got big buffs in PLA, I fucking love how they made Darkrai somewhat menacing there but it's not technically a main game otherwise we could include Ranger and if you were to stretch it you could include Nobunaga ambition for being the first to showcase poke Japan as an Arceus shaped island
