>>52378385Megas aren’t given to you near the start of the game and change the mon’s stats (except for HP), a new ability, and typing. Limited to select Pokémon.
Z-moves are one time use moves that are used in place of an existing move on a mon’s set. Many different effects for the moves and some mons have signature moves.
Dynamax is a fusion of the previous two. Stronger moves with effects and only last a limited amount of turns. Also has a sub-class, gigantamax, which gives new forms to select mons. Also banned in smogon I guess (idk if Tera is being considered for a ban I haven’t played showdown in a good bit). HP is increased unlike the other gimmicks, but it’s done based on a new stat.
Teratypes can make any Pokémon into any mono type. Also makes moves of that type stronger. Unlike the previous gimmicks, every Pokémon has access to the same teratype mechanic. No signature forms.
Idk what the Twitter man was going for here, I guess Z-Moves would be the most different? Other than only being a 1 turn thing, I didn’t play much gen 7 comp but I don’t remember many Z-Moves so I guess you could say they weren’t too dominant.
