I would have liked the concept better if the Future ones looked less like just robots. Great Tusk is fine but Iron Treads should have been just a more evolved Donphan

I wouldn't mind it of one or two of them becake robots, but all of them becoming robots is lame.
It homogenizes the designs too much.

Making them robots make it easy for kids to understand that these mons are from the future. Remember that the main audience of this game are kids

I do agree that scarlet has better paradox mons though

I think the contrast between feral, primeval pastmons and Terminator-like futuristic killing machines works perfectly well. Either you deal with Jurassic Park and a group of Pokemon so vicious they act as apex predators to all other Pokemon, or Skynet and its uncanny, uncaring reproductions of current Pokemon who don't think twice about switching to kill mode on a dime.
