Hated it on reveal and up until release, but Normal and Poison are my favourite types and I liked Shroodle so I gave it a shot. Ended up being a mainstay and one of my favourite mons this gen.

I know it's just in game and that's always easy but mine was -atk nature and he was still roughly two shotting most things with play rough, though I mostly ever used him on things that were weak to fairy. Crunch also did a lot of damage. I should have given him fire fang and psychic fangs to deal with steel/poison types

fuck yes, my Dachsbun saved my entire nuzlocke run after Iono slaughtered the rest of my team with her Mismagius. He pretty much became my oldest mainstay and was great to pivot into for a physical defense hit.

Garganacl was very surprising. He hit like a truck and tanked every attack including super effective stuff like a champ. Had recover and couldn't be effected by status because of ability. He's my gen 9 bro.

I love this little guy, but every time I use it I'm reminded of how shitty this game looks

It's kind of hilarious how badly Flamigo breaks any semblance of "balance" in the early to midgame and probably even beyond that

I actually quite liked using the Pawmot line ingame, but I still can't get over how dismally boring all three look. Gonna have to grind out a shiny one just so I can pretend that it isn't essentially the exact same design as it's pre-evos.

I think it definitely had some inspiration from tibetan mastiffs as well. Before I saw it's full body and realised how long it was, I immediately thought of that breed because of the colors.
Its also funny that both breeds are known to be nasty and distrustful dogs that often bite
