By that argument, the fact that you can switch makes it a coinflip to begin with since they can just, switch into something that resists. The skill part of pokemon is fucking weighing your options and determining the best course of action, you cant just fucking turn everything into an easy to understand flowchart, then its boring as fuck.
Also just like, the fact that so many people on the Smogon forums consider YOUR OPPONENT BEING CHOOSING WHAT TO DO AS A FORM OF RNG is literally like, so fucking beyond divorced from reality and an absolutely fucking insane take, youre literally treating another human being like theyre a equivalent to a number generator that is LITERALLY deterministic to timing of a fucking computer clock combined with player inputs that is 100% replicable in ideal scenarios.
Like holy shit, at least in VGC we complained about Ally Switch adding too many possible outcomes to keep track of, which is a genuinely valid point when Doubles always has a SIGNIFICANTLY higher number of potential outcomes of player choices for n number of turns without taking Ally Switch into account, and it didnt get fucking banned or removed it just got more limited distribution.
