you're right. I just finished playing Drakengard 2 on a ps2 emulator, and it looks a little better than that, but Drakengard 2 looks bad, even by ps2 standards, so that skewed me a little in Pokemon's favor.

Aside from the blatant technical issues and bugs that are rampant in the game, lock it to a solid 30fps, fix that awful camera when you ride around on your HM slave, and even out the color saturation between the characters and environments, and they would FINALLY make this game decent to look at.
Though the fact they couldn't even throw on basic Unreal grass textures is hilarious to me.

Those have modern graphics.
Pokemon still use PS2 graphics, it can easily achieve 60fps if Shitfreak wasn't a scammy Jewish company with no quality assurance department

No, graphics aren't everything. You'd run into cpu bottlenecks even if you ran the game at 240p.
SV already does, every frame drop that slows down the game with it is a CPU drop.

Yeah, I remember when dark souls 1 fans "fixed" the framerste and suddenly everyone was clipping through surfaces. Going down a ladder was a 50/50 death trap because you'd just go through the floor when the animation at the bottom played and fall forever. Framerate isn't just something that's decided on randomly.

60 fps in a far better looking game over FIVE years ago

please stop using the console as an excuse for pokemons frame rate or graphics. the switch isnt fantastic modern hardware, but it's still capable of 60 fps good looking games.
