That fansub you talk about is kinda tolerable, especially since the rewritten lines are funny and the names of locations/characters/names are the Japanese ones. Also no tranny crap like "they/them" pronouns.

I know, the rewritten lines were unnecessary but still better than nothing. Also I've dealt with much more "fantranslations" (like from bootleg subs).

It's literally just the dub script. If you think that's tolerable, you can just sub AG, Indigo and Orange islands by yourself by downloading closed captions for the dub and playing them with the original.

Most of the lines are accurate to the Japanese audio. Also if it was copy-paste of the whole dub script, it would use the localization names too but it doesn't.

Indigo Leagues arc are in hardsubs, so extracting the subs will be a pain in the ass. Also the translation is horrible judging from the translation the tranny did at Pokemon Mystery Dungeon. Which is why I had to change many lines with the few Japanese I know.

What part of >>52398035 did you miss? It's a copy-paste of the dub script with some search-and-replace to change "Ash" to "Satoshi" etc. There's no translation involved and the guy that made them doesn't know any Japanese and has no idea what the characters are actually saying.

I see. At least the dub script at Diamond/Pearl isn't as bad as the first Pokemon anime that was dubbed by 4kids Entertainment. Unless I'm wrong.

At that point, you may as well fansub like this if you're going to go that inaccurate.
