Why don't Nintendo get Monolith Soft to help inept Game Freak make the games? Monolith Soft has a fuck-tonne of employees as well as smaller teams that help on some Nintendo games, and are especially good at environment design, something the new Switch games seriously suck at.

They did. The reason the games ended up in their current state is because they were unfinished. A lot of shit you see is clearly placeholder.

That's because that's literally their job. They're a "Technical Support Studio" which means they have an office exclusively dedicated to developing enviornments for third pary clients. Xenoblades is more or less just a tech demo where they showcase to potential clients what they're capable of.

Maybe because they still want to present a good product regardless? Zelda isn't nearly as successful as Pokemon but that didn't stop Nintendo and Monolith teaming up to make it one of the best open world games ever made, and it payed off.
