In cases like the water it's fairly fine as his paddling animation isn't too distracting, but specifically on the ground it is a bit more annoying. You can zoom out the camera to help reduce that amount of visual noise, but then you see even more pop-in and a lot more lag. Either option is a compromise that doesn't have to be made with the bike.
Regardless, after a while on either you'll get accustomed to ignoring them while looking at the nearby spawns and anything else, and both in any other context like in most cutscenes and the camp, both animate like dogs well.
