I remember one time when i was a kid and pokemon just did came out ,i actually printed the pokemon logo on my forehead with one of those temporary tattoos and walked around the city like that; my mother kinda felt embarrassed. I think the item where potato chips or candies, cannot remember exactly as it was almost 20 years ago. Usually,those kind of small items were given with one of two.

Another item that i remember were those pokeballs wich internally contained a packaged sugar-hard multi colored tiny blocks with a small pokemon statue inside. Holy shit i wanted that Squirtle so badly..

Just fucking kill me and bring me back ,those were simple yet funny times that will never come back

I remember 2010 seeing Luigi's Mansion, XD Gale of Darkness, and other gamecube games on sale in the original box for $7 at gamestop.
I kick myself for not buying into it more. But at the time no one would have thought Nintendo or POkemon would get like this.

My dad always had the news on early in the morning before I went to school. I remember this playing and I only paid attention because I heard someone saying ,"Pokemon" and it was about some kids jumping off a roof. They showed the episode of Ash flying with the Gengar family and the first thing my fucked-up, I-don't-have-full-empathy-yet kid brain thought was, "Huh??? I haven't seen that episode yet!".

I used to read these constantly, they were like crack since I wasn't allowed to play the games until I was a little older. A few years back, before Pokemon GO hit, I managed to grab a lot listing of about 10 of them plus some others for pretty cheap. Boy am I glad I did.

The game was such an amazing thing. You just didn't have portable video games with that sort of depth, there was nothing like it. Also 100% of kids who had link cables also cheated with game shark.
I really hated the cartoon though.
