I've got hella nostalgia for Gen 7. I've been a fan of the series since Gen 3, but SM was the first one I actually paid attention to during the release cycle. First ones I actually bought on release. Actually got emotional at the end of SM, but USUM doesn't hit as hard. Still the only gen with pic rel, which automatically makes it top tier.

it would've been awsome, ultra sun closed some story threads that were left unanswered but it also changed stuff for the worse like changing the champion battle from profesor kukui to hau.

SM was GOLD.

I really love all the characters, the plot, the side quests, totem battles were actually a challenge (not like that PLA/SV garbage imitation), love the league, the designs, the routes with a master trainer that you could only battle once you've already beaten all other trainers from the route, the battle tree...

Not to mention that the alolan forms were awsome in sun and moon since they gave new live to pokemon that died due to the power creep. Nowadays alternate forms are literal who's with no soul or thought behind them.

What the fuck were they thinking with SV Pokébosses? The big hp bar gave me some hope at the start but it was fucking nothing. Sure you can beat totems in 1 or 2 hits with z moves or cheese them, but depending on your team some of them can give you some difficulties since they can have pretty good movesets/synergy.
The bosses in SV had fucking nothing of interest, it pretty much played itself especially in the phase 2 where Arven joins us.
