You can still do it with a duped legendary in your party before you update. But getting a duped legendary has been patched, so I guess that's Gamefreak's answer to getting rid of the issue, for now at least.

What'cha duping' bros? I'm starting it off easy with 50 Master Balls. I don't think Master Balls look that nice but I can probably trade them for stuff from time to time. After that, I think I'll move onto Dream Balls since they're the only apriball I actually have. Then Ability Patches, and maybe some Golden Bottlecaps to top it all off.

You can dupe fine yeah. They removed the A+B thing which allowed you to add the legendary to your party. There's no known workaround to it just yet

You can release it fine
>Ride bike
>Press A on the bikemon in the menu (with the + symbol)
>The dupe mon is now removed from your party
That's it. You might mistakenly press it and remove it when you didn't want to it's that easy
