>>52447432I enjoyed them. Although, I'm an outlier because Latias is my favorite pokemon after all.
Getting one early & being able to fly in 3D was a dream come true for me.
The addition of Megas to all my favorite pokemon (Blaziken, Gardevoir, Absol, Latias) was also a plus.
Although, I will admit that the challenge has been completely stripped of any difficulty.
This being a Gen 6+ game, you had that Pokemon Amie to befriend your pokemon and give them cheat abilities in battle. (Your pokemon toughed it out so you wouldn't feel sad, etc)
Being given a Lati@s early (although cool) is still giving you a legendary nuke that makes the game an easy cakewalk. Same deal with the Megas, which give you absolutely overpowered pokemon that destroy everything easily.
Then there's the lack of Emerald's Battle Frontier. Same as with BDSP's lack of Platinum's Battle Frontier, these nu-remakes are scared of giving players a decent postgame challenge.
It's basically impossible to lose at this game unless you're a massive retard. But despite how easy it is, I did grow up with Sapphire. So I still enjoyed them out of unapologetic nostalgiafaggotry.
