Pokemon is an RPG, a genre that focuses on a single-player campaign, stories, and characters. Those other games are not RPGs. No one is asking for online play for Xenoblade or Persona.

Only a complete soulless autist would only care about pokemon competitive viability alone, which you should just play on showdown and completely avoid the games because playing through the game would cause you to have a mental breakdown.

The story mode and the online are both boring. This is why people want the Battle Frontier and a more robust single-player mode, because it allows for the developers to craft new and interesting battling scenarios, which can potentially give underappreciated Pokemon new situations to shine in. But you already knew all of this, you're just being disingenuous.

It's no wonder some people would ignore the games entirely and play fanmade simulators if all they want out of it is multiplayer PVP.
