I'm wondering if it's hidden ability would be better + manually setting up toxic spikes instead- since it's og ability can be easily circumvented with special attacks, but losing such an insane ability feels like spitting in a gift horse's mouth

Given that the Great Crater had been around for at least a million years, that’s enough time for a Pokémon that consistently consumes rocks diffused with Tera energy to evolve into something that concentrates that energy for itself. It’s basically a hyperaccumulator.
