Why nobody complained about Pupitar? Literally ruins the appeal Larvitar had. From a cute and cool green dinosaur into a souless cocoon who can't move and thats it, thats the end of Larvitar. At least you can put an everstone in Larvitar to avoid this

why does a stone lizard have to enter a cocoon? i mean i haven't raised a tyranitar so idk if they specify in the pokedex lore but it's kinda weird

other lizard mons like bagon go into a cocoon, but that's because there's a big change between bagon and salamence. larvitar already looks like just a young tyranitar so i don't get why it even needs to pupate either

There's no lore beside the larvitar line is inspired by some species spiked desert lizards and a t-rex or kaiju. Perhaps Pupitar is just a reference reptiles sheding their skin.
