The patch removes the A+B setup but does NOT remove duping. Just put one in your party or box ahead of time.

In the patch, once it's in the party, you can't move it back to the box, as the A+B trick is gone. You can stock up on ride clones in the meantime, I suppose.

Why is no one talking about the fact that charizard isn’t even fucking finished. Its textures glitch all over the place and it can’t be traded or used online because it is flagged as illegal. It’s already pathetic that they can’t be bothered to write pokedex entries for three added pokemon, but functioning textures and being able to use and trade it are basic features of being a pokemon. That's it. Nothing to improve performance or frames at all. Just patches to fix glitches people were enjoying. Gotta love the priorities here.

I mean RS came out relatively stable, and given how stable BW were I imagine if they delayed DP it would have come out fine too. It seems to me the problem isn't that they're not competent, it's that they don't have enough time. The games have been getting progressively less stable since XY, which is when Masuda fully embraced the "to sell toys" model of product releases. Even HAL started off making actual garbage constantly until they decided to take their time and make good video games.

And almost killed the entire franchise. Gen 3 wasn't exactly a popular period for Pokemon dude and it had the greediest practices of any gen ever. You needed to buy like 8 games across two consoles and a shitload of peripherals just to finish the damn pokedex. That's hundreds of dollars.
