I rarely thought about it at all since it was so forgettable and /vp/ largely ignored its existence in favor of LE CHONKERINO and SMOLiv shitposting.
But when the leaks happened, I learned that it evolves and so I gave it a chance. I caught one in that cliff before you meet Koraidon and she became one of my best team members ever since.
Armarouge was another I felt disappointed by when I first saw its design. The whole Mega Man look just didn't gel with me at the time and I remember shitting on it in /vp/ and /v/.
But I dunno. Maybe it's because I became a huge Digimon fan lately, but I'm more tolerant of anthro humanoid designs now than I use to be.
Tinkaton was another pokemon I wasn't sure of at first. Its first two pre-evos looked so derpy and stupid, I half debated on whether I should Box it or not.
But eventually, it evolved into its final form and its derpface retardation suddenly turned into a really cute looking pokemon.
