>>52466756I assume it's because the newer spinoffs bleed and dry players without providing much content. Niantic handles GO and it's one of the best selling mobile shit games. They bleed people with the shop and x days for mons. Then there's masters which is a standard gacha. They're far more profitable than a regular spinoff.
They could easily make another PMD, Conquest, etc if they wanted to but it would require outsourcing the game other devs. I'm surprised they haven't just rereleased games as collections on the eshop and slapped a price tag of 60 USD (maybe Colosseum+Gale of Darkness with Home compatibility as 60 USD bundle, three rangers games for 60 USD, etc).
Instead for Pokemon anniversary we got Katy Perry, Post Malone, and J Balvin TCG cards and "concert" along with Unite and Snap.
