The real God Tier is:
- FireRed/LeafGreen
- Emerald
- Platinum
- HeartGold/SoulSilver
- Black/White
- Black2/White2
I spent like 90 hours on FireRed and LeafGreen in a single playthrough and I wasn't aware until I wanted to compare with my almost 120 hours on Emerald after getting the Gold Frontier Emblems.
I think if you add Colosseum and XD: Gale of Darkness, it's the definitive experience of Pokemon's Golden Years.

Is this counting how they affected competitive or just the games themselves, eitherway, Swooshit belongs in bad tier at best due to kickstarting the dexcut BS. Horrible tier if you include it having the worst meta and powercreep of any generation

I'd argue XY belong in Good tier if counting competitive too, otherwise the list is very accurate

Didn't have to choose between my fav starters but got to keep all 3

Crystal follows the same logic for me
The small improvements they did rly improved the whole gen for me
