No, definitely not. Unaware is a great ability and this thing is fat and uses it well. It's probably the best of the 3 starters for single battles.

Skeledirge is barely in OU as is, with its terrible defensive typing it won't be OU if tera is banned.

His typing is fine. Roaring moon and mega weavile are the only common physical attackers that can really threaten him before tera typing. Pursuit is gone and nobody runs offensive ttar and offensive physical waters are rare right now even though Azu is very good currently.

Fire/Ghost is very exploitable. Skeledirge clicks tera fairy turn 1 99% of the time as its only niche is acting like a bootleg Clefable.

You run bold with leftovers and slack off, ideally with tspikes support. It survives a lot more than you would think before tera. It can tank quite a few super effective hits unless they're banded and or proto boosted.

Absolutely not.
He takes hit very well from Iron Valiant, Volcarona, etc.
His typing is very useful against dominant threats.

Also water Skeledirge is better than Fairy.

It’s already good. I beat up my friend with it and he’s like 1600 on the ladder. I like to run a modest max HP/max sp attack set with Tera water. Torch Song, Flame Charge, Shadow Ball, and Tera Blast are all you need. I was threatening Palafin, Goldengo, and Cyclizar with Skeledirge.

Water Skeledirge won me many games. It can pressure Iron Valiant, Volcarona and many more while also being able to check Fire Fish and Reddit Gold.
Sp.Def. Skeledirge is one great way of using him.

Their best moves are already in type and it dies to too much shit. It's the strongest starter in VGC right now though.

Duck is theoretically the best in a vacuum but it's checked in every meta until further notice.

It's vgc mon. You can pair with fire tauros and activate anger point by flower trick, and Meowscarada also have usefull support moves like taunt, helping hand, ally switch. It's unironically only one protean user that might be good in vgc
