If Kirby is supposed to be the baby franchise, why does it have crazier creature designs than Pokémon? Why can’t Pokémon have strange, disturbing designs like these?

We kinda got these with the Ultra Beasts, though to a lesser extent. And also, ever since Adventure Kirby has been known for weird ass final bosses, I mean look at this image, even if it's a baby franchise, most games usually go out of the way to make the final boss some weird thing.

Creatures design isn't the only thing Pokemon should take inspiration from Kirby, environments art direction and level design too.
Compare a route (not Wild Area) from SwSh, to a level from Forgotten Land, it's the same traveling camera with chosen angle technique and yet it's night and day. Wild areas were a mistake.

Nah, it's exactly the ruleset Tajiri held them to when creating Gen 1 and 2. they've undoubtedly expanded upon that since but the core tenets of their design philosophy remains constants, to ensure they actually make pokémon-tier designs instead of temtem-tier each Gen.
