I can't get this fucker to evolve. He's been running around for 2 hours. He's taken well over 1000 steps. I've leveled him through battle and with candies. Is the game fucking bugged?

The running in circles method while I sat on top of the center never worked for me. I had it running for 20 minutes and leveled it up with nothing. Then I just crouched and walked with it for a while and it worked. Also it doesn't work if you use R to send it out—only ZR.

I just did this with a three walkables. Go to Los Platos and run 3 full laps around the city street. Just make sure you don't run to far ahead and that it's still hanging out outside with you when you level it up with candy.

Run around for 1000 steps. Do not let them return to their Pokeball during the 1000 steps
Use a rare candy to level them while they're still out

This was how I evolved mine and it worked fine.

The gate ha snothing spawning, mostly even terrain, no distractions just walk slowly and you will get it

I caught one of those shit rollers in a tera cave after grass town, went on a walk to electric city to laugh at the little guy, and it evolved after a few minutes. Of course it's evolution is some weird fetus juggler, so I boxed it, but neat gimmick

It has to be consecutive steps, if you battle, fast travel, have them return to their pokeball, faint, use photo mode, check your pokedex, buy something from the store or watch the end credits it resets it down to 0 steps.

Once you have enough steps, use a candy to level up.
