Personally, I think Gamefreak should return doing 2D games. They were masters at pixel art, and each game were visually pleasing, and the mons had personality in their sprites. Gamefreak's modern games are fun, but you can see they don't know how to work with 3D. Perhaps something closer to Octopath Traveler, with 2D sprites and 3D enviroment would be cool.
