>>52503098>>52506710The question of who (or what) Heath met is probably the most fascinating part of the book for me. The way I see it, if you exclude the idea that Heath is a filthy liar who made it all up there are roughly three possibilities for this encounter:
1. The person Heath spoke to is the player and we'll be seeing him in the DLC. (The mostly likely option, in my opinion.)
2. The person Heath spoke to is a character we already know. (The Professor AI? Arven and friends? Dendra? The sandwich recipe guy?)
3. The person Heath spoke to is a character we haven't met. (The Paldean Emperor, or something else entirely? Who knows.)
The only reason I have any doubt that the person Heath encounters is the player is because this page makes it seem as if this conversation gave Heath some kind of hidden knowledge about the hexagons and the true nature of Area Zero. It's possible that whatever happens in the DLC could be enough impetus for Heath writing this page, but the player doesn't exactly seem like a "teacher of esoteric knowledge" type, do they? That's why I'm putting my crazy theory bets on the person Heath speaks to being a yet unknown third party.
Also, if what's happening in Area Zero isn't time travel, then where did the Professor AI end up going? Did they really end up in another time, were they just plain destroyed or did they end up in another space entirely? I could imagine the DLC being set in that space, which is probably what Heath is describing.
